Lion cub

For my nephew 1st birthday I attempted a lion cub cake. This cake had to travel far, therefore 3D was not an option. This was a vanilla cake and with some help and a very late night, the cake was done.

Baby's 1st Birthday

A friend's baby turned 1 and that was a good enough reason for a cake. His favourite toy, at that stage, was a blue and white soccer ball with the alphabet on the ball. The ball was a chocolate cake and the cupcakes were vanilla.

Dora was the theme for a little girl's 5th birthday. This was a chocolate cake covered with buttercream icing.

Quilting

I attempted the quilting effect for the first time for my stepmother's 50th birthday. This was a chocolate cake with ganache in the middle. The posy was made with gumpaste roses in 5 shades of purple.

Brittlestar cupcakes

For my friends birthday I made brittle star cupcakes. It was a red velvet cupcake, covered with cream cheese frosting. The decorations were made from plastic icing and royal icing.
